GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The wild recruitment of five-star receiver Dallas Wilson came to an end on Sunday. Wilson, on an official visit to Florida, committed to and signed with the Gators on Sunday. He’s the first composite five-star receiver to sign with the Gators since Andre Debose did so in 2009.
During the 2024 season, the 6-foot-3, 193-pound Wilson finished with 41 receptions for 677 yards and nine touchdowns.. He averaged 16.5 yards per catch.
Wilson had spent nearly two years committed to the Oregon Ducks but Billy Napier and the Gators continued to recruit him. Florida felt good about flipping Wilson all the way up to National Signing Day. Wilson wouldn’t pull the trigger on a flip that day but soon would ask out of his commitment with Oregon. He was granted his release earlier this week and was in attendance for the Gators’ Gasparilla Bowl win over Tulane. Wilson then made the trip up to Gainesville for an official visit starting Saturday.
Wilson joins Vernell Brown, Nae’shaun Montgomery and Muizz Tounkara. Both Brown and Wilson are rated as top-10 receivers in the country, making the Gators the only school in the country to sign two top-10 receivers this recruiting cycle.
