Devin Moore named to the SEC Community Service Team

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida Gators sophomore cornerback Devin Moore was selected by the Southeastern Conference to the SEC Community Service team, the conference announced Thursday.

Moore has been a Florida Victorious Athlete for the past two seasons where he has spent time giving back to the local Gainesville community. Moore has participated in events with Bread of the Mighty, Ronald McDonald House, St. Francis House, Alachua Habitat for Humanity, Education Foundation, the YMCA, Made for More, Partnership for Strong  Families, and Food4Kids. Devin has always gone above and beyond at our charity events. He even partnered with Jack Pyburn to gift a volunteer at Bread of the Mighty a PS4 some time ago.

In 2024, Moore made service trips abroad to both Greece and South Africa, completing over 100 hours of service between the two trips.

Moore traveled abroad on service trips through Florida’s GatorMade program. In Athens, Greece, Moore aided the Smile of the Child. A non-profit, assisting in painting, cleaning, and plumbing repairs to many homes, spending time with local children, and and organizing donations for the organization. He also spent time assisting in meal prep at soup kitchens across the city, preparing g and distributing meals to the homeless population around the city.

In Cape Town, South Africa, Moore spent a week assisting the Rise Above Development organization, assisting in the construction of water wells for use by the schools in the Lavender Hill community. He also volunteered with Project Playground and assisted in the building of a playground for the children of the Gugulethu township.
