GAINESVILLE, Fla. — It was a great season for the Florida Gators on the football field, finishing with four consecutive victories, including a win in the Gasparilla Bowl. The on-field success didn’t come on its own, the Gators achieved new heights off the field.

The football team set a fall semester GPA record with a 3.37, breaking the previous mark of a 3.15 fall GPA set in 2023. The team also matched the cumulative team GPA of 3.34, matching the record set in the spring of 2024.

Prior to Billy Napier’s staff taking over in Florida, the highest number of student-athletes who achieved a 3.0 GPA in any semester was 61. That number has increased every semester since Napier took over from 62, 68, 77, 86, 88, and now 102 (78% of the team) in the fall of 2024.

The Gators had 11 players who graduated in the fall of 2024. Two with master’s degrees (Mark Pitts and Riley Simonds), while eight post-graduate players earned certificates.
